Now, more than ever, we know people are going to experience bereavement who will need care, compassion and someone to talk to. Can you join our vital telephone service and help us to reach some of these individuals and provide much-needed bereavement support?

We are looking for community bereavement volunteers to join our Hospice to provide telephone support to anyone who has lost a loved one and needs support (including people affected by Covid-19 and have no connection to our Hospice).

“Coping with the loss of a loved one can be overwhelmingly painful and lonely but with bereavement counselling, it is my number one priority to make that person feel safe again.” – Maureen, one of our bereavement counsellors

If you have a counselling qualification or are training to be a counsellor, we’d love to hear from you. We’re also open to people who have had training in emotionally supporting vulnerable individuals.
