Octopus Legacy is a free will writing service, available online. Supporters of Birmingham Hospice can use their services for free. They can also support clients via telephone and in some cases, they will arrange a home visit with the client.

Talbots Law
The solicitors at Talbots Law have vast experience in helping clients safeguard their assets and are here to provide advice that meets your specific needs.
Birmingham Hospice has partnered with Talbots Law, who have agreed to charge a fixed rate of £180 to write you simple Will. £75 of that fee will then be donated to Birmingham Hospice to support our vital work.
Please note that if you require a more complex Will or, for example, wish to create Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA) then additional fees will be charged.

Writing a will allows you to have control over who inherits your estate after you die. By using a specialist solicitor or will writing expert, you can make your funeral requests clear and protect the financial future of your loved ones.
In some instances, it can even help to reduce Inheritance Tax that might be payable on any property you leave behind.
You can also ensure a donation or financial support is offered to your preferred charity of choice.
If you choose to leave a gift in your will to Birmingham Hospice, you will be leaving a lasting legacy for local people.
We’ve partnered with Octopus Legacy, Accord Legal Services and Talbots Law to offer a free or reduced rate will writing service.
When writing your will through our partners, you will be asked if you’d like to leave a gift to Birmingham Hospice.
Alternatively, any solicitor you use to write your will can ensure a gift of your choice is left to us.

You can update your existing will by adding an amendment. We strongly recommend you consult with a solicitor before adding an amendment, to ensure it’s legally binding.
