We want to share the knowledge we have gained after spending more than 112 years delivering excellent, quality hospice care.
We feel it’s important to dedicate our time to educate the current and future workforce of health and social care professionals. Facilitated by members of our Clinical Team, our placement opportunities give undergraduate and qualified healthcare professionals the chance to explore the range of services we offer.
Undergraduate student placements are only available through universities that we have an existing ‘Service Level Agreement’ in place with.
Please check with your Clinical Placement Coordinator to find out more and express your interest. Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer university student placements outside these agreements (including elective placements).
If you are not an undergraduate student already attending university, you can apply for placement or work experience visits via this form. Please email completed forms to askhr@birminghamhospice.org.uk
Please note, these placements are subject to availability and clinical capacity. You must be over 18 years of age to visit our clinical areas.
School/college applicants under 18 may be able to apply for work experience in our retail stores; if you would like more information about this please contact askhr@birminghamhospice.org.uk
