Join a fundraising group

Our fundraising groups are made up of wonderful, like-minded individuals who all join together to support their local hospice. Joining a fundraising group is a great way for you to get out-and-about in your local community, meet new friends, develop and support new and existing skills, and have fun!

Being part of the Kings Norton fundraising group is a brilliant way to do something good in my community. I’ve met some wonderful people, helped organise events that I’m really proud of, and had a lot of fun along the way. It’s nice to know that you can give as much or as little time that suits you – even just a couple of hours each month can make a real difference.

Kings Norton Fundraising Group

Since starting in 2012, the Kings Norton fundraising group has raised over £20,000 for the hospice. The group meets every month at Stirchley United Club, a venue that kindly and warmly welcomes the group and their fundraising evenings. If you are interested, please give Elaine Wilkes, Chair of Kings Norton Fundraising Group, a ring on 07432 677715, or simply turn up to one of our meetings where you will be made most welcome.

Birmingham Hospice Singers

Our ladies choir helps to raise thousands of pounds for Birmingham Hospice by hosting seasonal concerts and individual performances. The group meets every Friday evening from 7pm-9pm in our Living Well Centre at our Selly Park site. The choir warmly welcomes anyone who would like to join; the only requirements are that you are able to learn the notes and sing as either Sopranos or Altos. Crafting Fundraising Group

Many of our wonderful volunteers and supporters enjoy getting crafty and creative, so we are very proud that we now have a wonderful crafting fundraising group. If you are interested in learning or starting a new hobby, developing your current skills, meeting new people and raising crucial funds for the hospice, then we would love to have you join the team: fundraisevol@birminghamhospice.org.uk

University of Birmingham Fundraising Group

The University of Birmingham fundraising group organises pub quizzes, bake sales and collections as well as promoting hospice events and campaigns around campus by leafleting and having awareness stalls in the Students’ Union and at Volunteer Fairs. Becoming a member of a student fundraising group is a great way for you to meet new people who share similar interests to you, gain new and exciting employability skills, and have a lot of fun while helping to make a real difference to people living with a terminal diagnosis:

Heart Up-cycling

Our wonderful supporter Margot loves being creative and making beautiful items out of things that would normally be sent to waste. She set up Heart Up-cycling to turn her lovable and unique items into cash to support Birmingham Hospice, to say a big thank you for how the hospice looked after her mother many years ago.
