Are you wondering how you and your team can use your volunteering day?
Why not come and join us at the Hospice and truly give back to your local community by learning more about who we are, what we do and the people we support!
We understand that volunteering and CSR days are hugely important to a lot of businesses like yours, especially right now and many individuals want to volunteer at a Charity are who directly helping those around them in their local communities.
Let us support you in achieving your CSR goals by volunteering with us.
Our volunteering days run throughout the year, mainly between March to October, with a few festive volunteering days in between, here are some volunteering opportunities you can get involved with!
Gardening – We pride ourselves in the ability to give our patients an outdoor area and a space to breathe some fresh air. Come and spend a day with us at the Hospice and help our Facilities team keep our garden and outside areas beautifully presented for our patients and their loved ones. Please note the maximum number of volunteers we can have on one volunteering day is 6.
Charity Shop Challenge – If you have larger team and all want to volunteer on the same day this is the activity for you! Support our Retail teams by taking over several of our shops for the day and help us sort, steam and price stock, interact with customers and host a fundraiser at the shop for the day!
Want to make it a little more competitive? Go head to head against the other teams volunteering to see who can fundraise the most! Whether you get ahead by bringing donations in with you on the day, host an office based or virtual fundraiser beforehand or get the most customer interaction on the day – let’s see who truly makes the best team!
Please note the maximum number of volunteers we can have per shop is 5. For a wide scale volunteering day we could have up to 30 participants on one day.
Event preparation – As we run a huge number of different events throughout the year, sometimes we need some extra hands on deck to get everything ready before the day. Help us by spending the day at the Hospice creating chocolate goodie bags or counting T-shirts, sending out participant thank you cards or plotting a route for us!
Please note, the maximum number of volunteers we can have per day is 5.
Event Volunteering – Don’t fancy volunteering in the week? Get in touch with us before an event and let us know you are interested in helping out on the day. Whether we have you on our registration station, stewarding a running route or simply cheering on our participants – any support you can give would be fantastic.
No maximum or minimum number required.
