It is time to get active and out of the house! With the UK in lockdown, seize the opportunity to get some exercise in the fresh air and take up a new challenge to sink your teeth into. You can also attempt this challenge on an exercise bike or by cycling around your garden.

We are challenging you to cycle 100 miles in June, whether this is in one big cycle or spread out over a few rides. Cycling your first century is a huge landmark for everyone and will be an incredible achievement. Ride as much or as little, as long or as short as you feel. But Ride 100.

How will you cycle 100 miles in June?

Whether you are looking to get fit, lose weight or build muscle, this is the challenge for you! Take your first steps to completing your 100-mile cycle with a few training rides. Explore the country lanes and beautiful parks Birmingham has to offer.

You can complete Ride 100 in one-mammoth cycle or you can split the distance over several rides. It’s your challenge, you choose how you conquer it. Once you know you’ve got the skills and stamina for these long rides, there’s nothing stopping you from crushing 70 miles, 80 miles, and finally reaching 100 miles!

Your miles help…

Right now, at Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, our doctors, nurses and frontline staff are working hard to provide essential care to people and their families – both in their own homes and at the Hospice. Not only are we caring for our patients, but we’re doing all we can to support GPs, District Nurses and the NHS, to ensure more people can receive care while our health services are under huge pressures. But heartbreakingly, at a time when people desperately need our services, we’re losing out on crucial funds. That’s why we need your help more than ever before.
