Individuals in the business community going the extra mile to support the Hospice...

Simon Greenfield - Colour Cubed

Simon, Director at Colour Cubed, provides more than print management to Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice.

"Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice is the perfect charity for Colour Cubed. The charity has a high profile in the local area and supports us to raise our SEO profile and create brand impact through exciting new content arising from our charitable activities. The Hospice is universally liked and admired by the people we do business with; it creates common ground and a great talking point with our customers.

The most important thing is of course that it helps to raise money for the Hospice but it is an added bonus that it’s a lot of fun and very rewarding at the same time!"

As our first Business Ambassador, Simon has a real understanding of the Hospice and advocates for the Hospice across his network. He is also a great Quiz Master, and generously gives his time to hosting quizzes in support of the Hospice.

Tony Hall - Handelsbanken

"I have found my involvement with St Mary's Hospice to be extremely rewarding whilst being hugely enjoyable at the same time. It is such an important part of the fabric of our local community, contributing so much to the lives of so many, when they need it most.

It is also a really good fit with Handelsbanken, a Bank that places so much importance on being a service provider to local communities and as the Manager of the local Handelsbanken Branch, to give something back to a fantastic local charity, whether by fundraising, giving of our time or through our business connections, is extremely worthwhile.
I am proud to be an ambassador for Birmingham St Mary's Hospice."

Hoan Nguyen - Dains

"I first started working with the team at Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice when Dains chose to support the Hospice through Dains Cake Club; an informal networking event for like-minded professional ladies in the Birmingham and surrounding areas. During this time I became aware that not only is Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice close to many of the ladies that attend but that the Hospice provides a vital service, offering support and help to patients and their families and at no cost to patients or their relatives.

Although the Hospice is no longer Dains Cake Club’s nominated charity, I am delighted to continue my association with the Hospice by becoming one of its Business Ambassadors. First stop, Afternoon Tea at the Park Regis Hotel on 23 November 2017!"

Neil Lloyd - FBC Manby Bowdler

I’ve been in and around Birmingham and Sandwell for the past 15 years. Over that time, in one way or another myself and the teams I have led, have supported Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice through various fundraising events.  The team at St. Mary’s provide an amazingly high standard of care to everyone that needs their help and I hope that as a Business Ambassador I can continue to help them raise funds towards the £8m they need each year to continue serving the local community.

Fidelis Navas - Gamma Talent

"Having worked and volunteered in the third sector in Birmingham for more years than I am prepared to admit, I’ve always considered Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice as an integral service for adult healthcare.

But recently, I have had professional and personal experience of the hospice and have been incredibly enthused and impressed with what they do. Even though we’re talking end of life care, it’s words such as ‘compassionate’, ‘experts’ and ‘innovative’ that are frequently used to describe what the hospice does or thousands of individuals and their families.

I’m so proud to be able to support the hospice as a Business Ambassador and am so incredibly grateful for all they do."

We are always looking for additional businesses to join us and become business ambassadors. If you would like further information, please contact Charlotte Anson, Corporate Partnerships Manager on 0121 752 8777 or email [email protected]
