The AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run is the Midlands’ biggest running event. You will finish on Jennens Road into Aston University’s vibrant event village.
How to enter
There are two ways of entering for the AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run 2027.
Apply for a charity place
Applications for a charity place in the AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run 2027 are now open. We have a limited number of FREE places so please provide as much detail as possible when submitting your application. If you are successful, you’ll need to commit to a minimum fundraising target of £200 for the 10k and £300 for the half marathon.
Own place entry
If you have your own place in the 10K, half marathon you can still choose to run for Birmingham Hospice and raise vital funds for hospice care as part of #TeamBrumsHospice. You’ll just need to complete our own place form. Click HERE for more information or to purchase your own place. Choose to run for us and raise a minimum of £50 in sponsorship to receive your very own branded running vest from us!
Please note that completing the form does not register you for the event – you will need to purchase your own place via the AJ Bell website.

By running in a charity place, you’ll benefit from the following
👟 Branded running vest or T-shirt
👟 Fundraising guide, information pack and sponsorship form.
👟 Dedicated fundraising support from our Events Officer.
👟 Pre-run meetup before race day.
👟 Cheer point on route close to our Selly Park site, where you can grab a water, ask family and friends to join us or just run by and wave.
