There was a real party atmosphere on Harborne High Street on Saturday 10 August, as our Harborne Superstore, Reloved Brum, celebrated its first anniversary!
Customers had a shopping trip to remember, soundtracked by live music from DJ Calmify and cocktails from Fizz Family Bar by the entrance. That’s not all; there was a live upcycling session from internet sensation Zoe of Muck N Brass, while the Evoke Coffee café upstairs had a special birthday menu, and our lovely volunteers showed off some crafts in the function rooms.
Since opening in August 2023, it’s safe to say Reloved Brum has enjoyed an incredible year. Not only has it hosted numerous workshops and events, being embraced as a community hub in the heart of Harborne – it’s also been recognised on a national level, receiving the Charity Shop of the Year award at the Charity Retail Awards in Harrogate.
Reloved Brum’s mission of being a charity shop like no other is clear to anyone who walks through the door. With features like the selfie wall and arcade game, it has a uniquely fun atmosphere that keeps customers coming back.
Ed, Shop Manager of Reloved Brum, said: “It’s been incredibly busy since day one, it’s been relentless and really well-received in Harborne!
“The community element of the shop is something we’re really proud of and we’re proud that people can support us in lots of different ways. It really is a charity shop like no other.”
Congratulations to the team, the special guests and all our incredible volunteers. We’re so proud of our sustainable retail presence in Birmingham!
