This year is the very first time we’ll be holding a Light up a Life event in Birmingham City Centre! Thanks to the support of Brindleyplace, we’ll be celebrating the lives of loved ones lost in a special evening full of beautiful music at Oozells Square.
So get into the Christmas spirit and come join us for a magical event…
- On Thursday 30th November, head to Oozells Square where the entertainment will begin at 6.00pm (no need to buy tickets, it’s free for everyone)
- We’ve got various musical acts performing from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire to the Town Hall Gospel Choir and The Uptone Girls – a student choir from the University of Birmingham that recently competed in BBC1’s Pitch Battle
- To end the evening, we’ll have our very own Christmas lights switch-on on our huge 20ft Christmas tree, with the lights symbolising the lives of those no longer with us
With our event finishing at 7.30pm, we have a few suggestions to complete a magical evening…
You could check out the festive menu at Zizzi or take the kids to Yorks Café for a toasty hot chocolate and a tasty treat (or even head to Bank for some Christmas cocktails or mocktails).
Don’t forget there’s also the German Market with over 120 stalls offering delights from pretzels and bratwursts to gluhwein and handcrafted presents!
We really hope you can join us for Light up a Life, as we come together to remember loved ones and celebrate their lives with a magical evening to kick-start your Christmas.
