Big Brum Bucket

Give just three hours to volunteer at a Big Brum Bucket collection and help fund compassionate hospice care across our community.

Help local people in urgent need of hospice care – volunteer at a Big Brum Bucket collection. 💰

Can you give just three hours of your time to collect at one of our locations and help raise bucket-loads for hospice care?

We need brilliant volunteers like you to take to high streets and shopping centres across the region on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 July to help raise money for Birmingham Hospice.

Big Brum Bucket 2025 raised an incredible £12,000 and this year, with your help, we are hoping to raise even more!

Big Brum Bucket is only a few weeks before our Bulls in the City trail launches. Therefore, we would love for our bucketeers to get involved and help spread the word! Each volunteer will be given some wording about our art trail and also your own pair of Bull Horns to wear on the day! 🐂🎨

It’s easy to get involved…

  1. Find a collection near you on the map below and sign up to volunteer.
  2. Get a FREE volunteer pack, including a bag and t-shirt!
  3. Collect donations at a local supermarket, high street or shopping centre.
  4. Raise money to provide vital palliative and end of life care in your local community.

Get your business involved in Big Brum Bucket

There are lots of ways your business could get involved with Big Brum Bucket, either at our organised collections or at your workplace:

  • Sign up you and your colleagues at one of our collections. These are taking place at supermarkets, high streets and various shopping centres – check out the map for your local collection.
  • Have a collection tin at your workplace and see how much you can raise before Saturday 4 July 2026.
  • Go one step further and organise your own fundraising activity at your workplace! You could host a bake sale, fancy dress day, or even a sponsored activity!

When you sign your organisation up for Big Brum Bucket, you will receive a fundraising guide full of tips and ideas to help you raise money.

When your organisation raises money for Birmingham Hospice, you’ll be helping people living with a terminal diagnosis to access the care of their choice and die with dignity.

Why should you sign up?

Gill and Liz, volunteers:

Best friends Gill Justice and Liz Mooney have taken part in Big Brum Bucket for the last few years, collecting at their local ASDA in Oldbury!

Gill has a close connection with Birmingham Hospice, and is why she wants to support the appeal. She said: ‘My Mom had pancreatic cancer and following her diagnosis she started going to the Living Well Centre at Selly Park. She loved the care and attention she got there and attended coffee mornings, spa sessions, craft groups and other social gatherings.”

“Sadly she passed away on the day she was due to be admitted to the hospice. I will always be grateful to the hospice staff for helping so much during her final months.”

“The hospice staff do such fantastic work and the place itself is such a lovely haven of calm. No one knows if they, or a family member will need hospice care.”

Gill added: “It is a lovely day, Liz and I do it together and you get to meet lots of people many of whom stop and chat about their own experiences. As I collect local to where I live, I see old friends, work colleagues and even parents and children I have taught! I will be pleased to help out as long as I’m able to.”

Can you be a brilliant bucketeer like Liz and Gill and help raise bucketloads this summer?
