More than 400 festive fun runners took part in the annual Jingle Bell Jog on Sunday (December 6) – twice as many as last year’s event.

Early estimates suggest that the hospice is well on its way to hitting its target of £10,000, and this is vital financial support for the hospice when caring for its terminally ill patients throughout the festive period. The fun run kicked off a packed programme in the run up to Christmas as part of their ‘Care at Christmas’ campaign.

Hamish Shilliday, Head of Fundraising at Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, said:

It was a joy to see so many people turn out in force to support the hospice at this year’s Jingle Bell Jog. Kings Heath Park was a picture of red and the rainy weather didn’t dampen any festive spirits. We would like to thank all those that took part, volunteered and sponsored the event. We couldn’t have done it without you.”
