On Saturday 24 September, we welcomed hundreds of our amazing supporters to Rowheath Pavilion for our magical Enchanted Walk, a 10k sponsored walk to raise vital funds to support local people living with a life-limiting illness and their families.
It wouldn’t be a Hospice Charity Partnership event without a fabulous theme, and our Events Team did a wonderful job of bringing the enchanted forest to life. With beautiful surroundings, a brilliant crowd and magical entertainment en route, including street performers, magicians and fire breathers, the evening delivered the sparkle it promised and more.
During the walk, walkers passed Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, where they stopped off for a moment of reflection and to light a candle in memory of loved ones – a powerful reminder of why everyone had come together to complete their 10k.
Our amazing walkers returned to sparkling lights and well-deserved cheers from Hettie, Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice’s hedgehog mascot, a medal and glass of fizz, the perfect ending to an evening of magic and memories.
A HUGE thank you and well done to everyone who made this magical evening one to remember, we couldn’t do what we do without you all!
