Cathy, who attends social sessions in our Living Well Centre, was treated to a very special 50th birthday.
Having completed our 12-week programme at the Living Well Centre in Selly Park, Cathy now attends the social sessions every Tuesday.
These sessions provide people with the chance to socialise with others who are facing similar challenges, get advice from our expert hospice teams and generally just have time to themselves.
Cathy, from Northfield, was due to attend the hospice on her 50th birthday so the Living Well Centre Team arranged a birthday party for her on the day including afternoon tea, a performance from a ukulele band and a visit from Roger the bagpiper.
When Cathy joined the Living Well Centre, Kate, one of our Healthcare Assistants, asked her if there was anything she had always wanted to do.
Cathy said she had always wanted a live band to play just for her and she had always wanted to hear bagpipes played live.
The Living Well Centre Team once again went above and beyond and made Cathy’s birthday one to remember!
