Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice is continuing its year of Birthday celebrations with a family extravaganza in Selly Park Recreation Ground, next to the Hospice.
On Saturday 21st June live music and dance performers, street food and carnival games will be available for the whole family to enjoy.
There will also be a special visit from some popular cartoon characters, Peppa Pig and one of Despicable Me character Gru’s faithful minions.
There is also an opportunity for local designer makers and sellers to get involved as the Hospice has a limited number of stalls available for a £15 donation.
The event is supported by the Drum Theatre and numerous talented performers from across the Midlands including Band Baja UK, Elmhurst School of Dance and long established music duo New York Minute.
Community Fundraising Manager Hamish Shilliday said “35 years of care is a massive achievement, we wanted to mark the occasion with our community and what better way to do it than with a Birthday party in the park?”
He added “Most importantly anyone enjoying the event will also be helping us to pay tribute to the work of staff and volunteers past and present. All funds raised on the day will help us to continue this work for years to come, so please join us!”
The event will be open from 12pm until 4.30pm and entry is free of charge.
Update – All stalls for hire are now sold out!
