Birmingham Hospice at Pride 2026

3 June 2026

Birmingham Hospice teams showcased their support for the LGBTQ+ community by participating in the annual Birmingham Pride parade for the fourth year in a row.

Halesowen-based company Lloyd’s Transport kindly provided the float vehicle, which was accompanied by a walking parade of staff, supporters and volunteers.

Raveena Dyal, Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at Birmingham Hospice, said: “We’ve been fortunate to represent Birmingham Hospice at Pride for the past four years now, and it’s always such a special day.

“We’re so proud to share our support for the LGBTQ+ community, while showing our commitment to making every moment matter for everybody in our city, and ensuring everyone at our hospice is accepted and included.”

The float was decorated with pom-poms and drawings lovingly created by patients at the Living Well Centre.

It was appreciated by crowds of thousands lining the streets from Victoria Square to the city’s Gay Village, raising the charity’s profile and showcasing how the hospice supports those from marginalised communities.

Helen Narbett, Staff Nurse at the Living Well Centre, volunteered on the float as well as helping with the crafts in the lead up to the event.

She said: “Birmingham Pride was a wonderful day with an incredible atmosphere, and we were proud to share the crafts that our Living Well Centre patients lovingly created. It was special to show their work and spread our messages of togetherness and positivity.”

We’re proud to be making every moment matter, for all communities. On behalf of everyone at Birmingham Hospice, happy Pride month!
