The difference your gift makes today

Despite how vital hospice care is, it is not fully funded by the NHS. This year we estimate it will cost £20 million to run all of Birmingham Hospice’s services. We must raise £8 million of that ourselves – through fundraising, our shops, and the generosity of supporters like you.

A gift of £23

would completely cover one hour’s nursing care at the hospice for a patient like Linda, relieving pain and creating time to be with their family.

could fund specialist bereavement counselling for someone like Terry – expert, compassionate support to help them find their way through grief- giving them time to heal.

could bring one of our specialist nurses to a patient’s home – delivering expert care, giving families the precious chance to step back from caring and simply be together.

“The nurses have all been fantastic and have bent over backwards to help us especially when I’ve stayed over on the ward. They brought me a bed and are feeding me. There’s 46 of us in our family altogether and we can visit any time of day or night. Once or twice, I’ve got quite upset and they’ve been very understanding.”
