As part of our Forget Me Not campaign, here is Bill’s story…
We wanted to donate to Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, in memory of our dear dad, William Thomas Chatham. He was not just a wonderful father and grandpa but he was a devoted, loving husband to his wife, Margaret for 64 years.
He was a carer to Margaret, who suffers from M.N.D. and for the past few years he’s stayed by her side 24/7 and always put his wife and family first.
William (Bill) never complained about his own health issues and it was his hope that he would be able to see his wife through to the end of the horrific illness that M.N.D. is!
Alas, he died suddenly, but peacefully on the 31st of January this year. The nursing home and Birmingham St Mary’s continue their care and support with Margaret, for which we are all truly grateful.
Thanks to all the staff and we will treasure our Forget Me Not flower.
