Birmingham Hospice proudly presents ‘George’s Story’

Like George, many local people living with a terminal diagnosis this winter will be lonely, scared and financially strained.

While Birmingham Hospice is here to help, caring for around 1,000 patients on average every day across our services, we are not fully funded by the NHS. Each year, we need to raise £5.5 million to cover the costs of running our charity.

That’s why your donation today is so vital. Without the support of kind people like you, George and other local people living with a terminal diagnosis will not be able to live and die with dignity and in comfort.

Ensure no one dies alone, scared or in pain.

All our services are free of charge. Your donation makes a difference.

Can buy a teddy bear with a recording of a loved one’s voice for a bereaved child to treasure as a keepsake.

Could pay for a bereavement support session to help a family member cope with the loss of a loved one.

Could pay for a community nurse to visit someone at home, helping them manage their symptoms and coordinating their care.

Could cover the cost of a home visit from an Occupational Therapist to help people to be as independent as possible.

“It’s like me going to Royal Ascot. It’s like looking forward to going somewhere like that, and you get it all here.”
