Event FAQs
Everyone! The Chocolate 5K is open to all ages and abilities. Walk, jog, or run — it’s your chocolatey adventure. The route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, and kids under 5 can join free (without a goodie bag).
Need a carer? They come free too — just let our Events Team know when registering and at the check-in tent.
You will be able to sign up online until midday on Wednesday 18 March.
Missed it? No worries! You can still sign up at the Event Village on the day — just note, prices may be higher and spots are limited.
Yes — but with caution! Chocolate is toxic to dogs, and there’ll be lots around, so keep your furry friends close and out of snack range. There’s no vet medic on-site, so please take care.
There’s no minimum, but every penny helps support local people living with a terminal illness.
Did you know £59 could pay for a bereavement support session to help families through the journey of grief?
Absolutely! We’ve got special Family Tickets and Adult + Child options. Rally your crew for a chocolatey team day out.
Whatever you’re comfy running in… or go full chocolate mode! Fancy dress is totally encouraged (hello, Oompa Loompas 👀).
Prefer a tee? Chocolate 5K T-shirts are available to pre-order or buy on the day (in white or purple).
Volunteering at The Chocolate 5K!
Not a fan of running? No problem! You can still be part of the sweet fun by joining our incredible team of volunteers at The Chocolate 5K.
From helping with registration and handing out chocolate treats to marshalling and cheering on participants, there’s a role for everyone. Many hands make light work, and we simply couldn’t run these events without the support of our amazing volunteers—just like Willy Wonka couldn’t run his factory without his trusty Oompa-Loompas!
Want to get involved? Just let our chocolate-squad HQ know you’re ready to lend a hand.

“I hadn’t run in ages, but taking part in the Chocolate 5K motivated me to keep going without stopping—and I even got a new PB! Giving out chocolate at each kilometre is honestly genius. It’s fun, delicious, and such a great motivator. Plus, it was so lovely to see so many people taking part!” – Abi, 2025 participant
