Skydive

Take to the skies in 2024 and raise vital funds for local people living with a terminal diagnosis, and their families.

Dates:

  • Saturday 2 March
  • Saturday 1 June

Your Skydive:

For your tandem skydive, you’ll be in a dual harness so you are securely attached to a qualified instructor at all times. The instructor takes care of the important parts of the jump such as opening the parachute, so you can simply enjoy the exhilarating experience. Your preparation for the jump is usually only 30 minutes.

Back on the ground, the money you raise will help fund our vital end of life care services and provide support for patients and their families.

Who can Skydive?

Feeling daring enough to take on the jump? The minimum age is 16 years old – (parental consent needed for under 18s) All participants over the age of 60 years old will need a Medical Advice Form signed by a GP and to meet with the instructor prior to the skydive to ensure they are safe to jump.

Please note there are some restrictions for participations to ensure your safety on the day:

  • Weight limit: 15 stone (*dependent on height – please check limits)
  • Height, Weight and BMI Limits: see here

Medical conditions

The £50 deposit is non-refundable so make sure you fully read the Medical Information Form and Height, Weight and BMI Limits before registering for your skydive.

Should you require sign off from a doctor then please take the following Medical Advice Form to your GP to sign. Feel free to get in touch should you be unsure about anything and we will happily contact the airfield on your behalf.

What does it cost?

Upon registering, you will need to pay a non-refundable deposit of £50, which is then taken off the final cost.

The full skydive cost is £230. When signing up, you pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship target of £395. The remaining £180 cost of the skydive, will be covered by the charity and the remaining £165 will come directly to the charity.

Alternatively, you may wish to pay the remaining £180 yourself which means 100% of your sponsorship money will come to the charity and you can raise as much as you like.
