Organise your own fundraising

We wouldn’t be able to care for all of the people we do without the support of generous people like yourself, raising vital funds for Birmingham Hospice.

Where do I begin?

It’s entirely up to you what sort of event you’d like to host; it could be a huge party in a local social club or a coffee morning in your very own home. Every fundraiser means the world to the people we care for and helps to ensure we can continue to be there when families need us most.

Step 1:

Pick a time and a place to suit you and your guests

Step 2:

Involve your friends and family – they’ll be more than happy to help, all you have to do is ask

Step 3:

Tell us about your event, so we can support you and provide fundraising bits and bobs

Step 4:

Spread the word, let everyone know it’s taking place

Step 5:

Host your fundraiser!

Take part in a running event

Did you know you can see hundreds of running events that you can take on to support to Birmingham Hospice? Check out what’s available on Run for Charity, and know we are on hand with hints, tips, and fundraising materials to make challenge a success!

Join a fundraising group

Our fundraising groups are made up of wonderful, like-minded individuals who all join together to support their local hospice. Joining a fundraising group is a great way for you to get out-and-about in your local community, meet new friends, develop and support new and existing skills, and have fun.

Fundraise as a school

We are so grateful for the support we receive from schools, getting involved in our much-loved campaigns Bunny Hop and Rudolph Run, and organising their own fundraising. By fundraising as a school, you raise vital funds to support local people living with a terminal diagnosis, and we support you every step of the way.

If you would like to fundraise with your school, we would love to hear from you – please do get in touch.

To me, the hospice is a great place of support. It’s important to me to meet other people with similar conditions who I can talk and relate to. I feel comfortable when I come here, and that I can be myself. I love chatting to the others here; I try to make people feel comfortable too if they are new or just if they’re having a bad day.
