Paul has a long established career in the NHS, qualifying as a nurse in 1995. He had a successful career in emergency nursing before making the decision to move into general management in 2003. Paul now holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at the University Hospitals of North Midlands, one of the largest hospitals in the West Midlands with one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the country.
Paul has a passion for people and supporting them to succeed either individually or through building strong teams. As a coach Paul’s style is based on shared learning and development and he uses his extensive management skills to encourage and promote diversity.
Paul, having volunteered with St John Ambulance for over 35 years, currently holds the position of Chair of the West Midlands and his passion for volunteering is based on the positive experiences that volunteering can bring both communities and individuals.
