Retail Communications Officer

Location:  It’s a hybrid role split between our offices in Selly Park and Erdington, our shops and home

Hours:  37.5 hours per week

Salary:   Corporate Band F – £30,484 – £33,037 per annum depending on experience

  • Birmingham Hospice is looking for a talented Retail Communications Officer to join our Income Generation and Marketing Team.
  • With 26 charity shops and more on the way, retail is vital to how we fund our care – and we need brilliant communications behind it.
  • This is a brand-new position for a keen digital marketer.
  • It’s a hybrid role split between our offices in Selly Park and Erdington, our shops and home.

What you’ll be doing

  • Producing compelling content for all social media platforms including TikTok and Instagram.
  • Under the guidance of marketing and retail managers, coming up with ideas for campaigns that help drive retail income, donations and footfall.
  • Marketing house clearances, furniture collections & new shop launches.

Who we’re looking for

  • A creative, enthusiastic communicator with a passion for social media and an ability to produce content that connects.
  • Experience as a digital marketing executive, digital content creator, marketing assistant or similar.
  • Excellent written communication, organised, with attention to detail.
  • Experience creating graphics, reels and editing in-app plus comfortable using design tools such as Canva or InDesign.
  • Full driving licence, access to car and ability to travel between shops.
  • Happy to bring a selection of best social media content to interview.
