About Us

We are Birmingham Hospice.

We believe that anyone with a terminal diagnosis deserves to live well and make the very most of the time that remains.

About Birmingham Hospice

Birmingham Hospice provides vital end of life care for those with terminal conditions throughout Birmingham, Solihull, Sandwell and Sutton Coldfield.

Our patients and their families are at the heart of everything we do, and our committed teams strive to ensure they receive the dignity and care everyone deserves.

We provide care wherever and whenever it is needed – that might be in patients’ own homes, in the community, or at our Selly Park and Erdington sites.

Who we are

We are caring for almost 1,000 patients on average every day – at our hospice sites, in the community, or in their own homes.

Our vision

We believe in the importance of dying with dignity, in comfort and in a place of your choice.

Our commitment

We want everyone, no matter their age, gender, sexuality, religion or medical condition, to be able to access the care of their choice at the end of life.

Our care

We are the primary provider of hospice care in Birmingham.

Did you know?

As a hospice we care for people with a variety of complex conditions including cardiovascular diseases, chronic respiratory diseases and kidney failure, as well as cancer.

How your donations help

We ensure that 89p in every £1 is spent on clinical and support services.

Our vision, mission and values

An estimated 100,000 people in the UK who could benefit from palliative care die without receiving it each year. Demand for this expert care continues to rise as people live longer, and with increasingly complex needs.

Our mission to make hospice care available to everyone is vital.

Our People

We couldn’t carry out our vital care without every single one of our dedicated and inspirational colleagues, volunteers and supporters. Read more about our team and how you can join us.

The care and support was all about helping him to be as independent as possible. Ravi was so full of life and even though he was going through these treatments, he still wanted to live and fight.
