Fundraising through work

Local businesses play a vital part in the care we can provide, through corporate fundraising, staff volunteering, Payroll Giving and partnership opportunities.

Learn more about the ways your company can support us below.

Together, we’re making every moment matter

By supporting Birmingham Hospice, you will be investing in your local community and supporting people living with a terminal diagnosis across Birmingham.

Getting involved is very easy and there are lots of different opportunities to choose from. Your support will help us raise £7.2 million, that we need to generate through fundraising activity, to cover the costs of running our charity.

How your company can make a difference

Workplace fundraisers

We can help you bring your workplace fundraiser to life to raise vital funds for the hospice.

We’ll help you every step of the way, from shaping your ideas to sharing fresh, creative ways to engage your colleagues and clients. We can also provide branded materials and ready-to-use fundraising packs to make your event a success.

Partnership opportunities

Make a lasting difference in your community while helping provide vital hospice care for those who need it most.

Together, we can create a bespoke sponsorship package that reflects your values, meets your business goals, and connects you with a wider audience. You’ll not only raise your company profile across the city, you will also leave a legacy of compassion and care, all while achieving your marketing and PR objectives

Corporate volunteering

Volunteering and CSR days are so valuable for your team, your community, and the causes you care about.

Join us and make a real difference while achieving your CSR goals. From tending our gardens, taking over one of our shops for the day, and helping run activities in our Living Well Centres, to lending a hand with event preparations, there are so many ways to get involved and see the impact you’re making first-hand.

Join the Above and Beyond Club

Could you become a proud representative of our hospice in the Birmingham community?

Our Above and Beyond Club is an opportunity for you to hear more about our hospice, how to help us with fundraising whilst also building your own network and profile

Payroll giving

Payroll Giving is an easy, tax-efficient way to support Birmingham Hospice. For employees, donations come straight from your salary before tax, meaning your gift goes further at no extra cost.

For employers, setting up a scheme is quick and simple—showing your commitment to giving back while empowering your team to make a lasting difference.

Events

Whether you join in on your own or get a team from work together, our fundraising events and activities are a powerful way to make a difference.

Every step you take, every cake you bake, and every challenge you conquer helps ensure more local people living with a terminal diagnosis can receive the expert, compassionate end-of-life care they so urgently need.

I'm an Employee – Get me Out of Here

We’re calling on corporate teams to step out of the boardroom on Wednesday 19 November and into a world of wilderness trials and creepy crawlies to raise vital funds for Birmingham Hospice.

Where your money goes

£556

The warm and welcoming team at Birmingham Hospice told us about the amazing work they do, and how fulfilling it is to improve the quality of life for those in the local community with life-limiting illnesses.”

Corporate bereavement awareness training

We are keen to help build compassionate workplaces across the city: workplaces that support employees who are living with a terminal diagnosis, caring for someone with a life-limiting condition, or dealing with loss and grief.

Our corporate bereavement awareness training will give you an introduction into some of the theories of bereavement and grief, to help you understand any emotions that people who are dealing with a loss may be feeling.

Within the session you will gain an understanding of:

  • The impact of grief on the individual, the wider family and the workplace.
  • Some of the secondary losses that bereavement can bring to these groups.
  • Conversational tips to help individuals feel more confident in approaching their peers, to share their condolences and offer support.

This training will enlighten you about the impact of grief on the body and mind, and considerations that need to be made to accommodate this in the workplace. Signposting to additional resources will be given at the end of the session.

We are pleased to provide this training and our services free of charge to help you and your organisation support colleagues who are dealing with grief and loss.
