This year Moseley BNI chose to support Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice with a year of fantastic fundraising activities that included their most recent event, a Charity Golf Day. To date, the group have hosted a Wine Tasting Quiz in March courtesy of Connolly’s Wine Merchants and a Cymbiotic Music night at the Highbury in April to raise vital funds for patients in Birmingham and Sandwell. Their latest escapade was a charity golf day held at their regular meeting venue, Moseley Golf Club.
With many of their business contacts being keen golfers, the day was well attended by over 80 participants who enjoyed golf and evening dinner which was accompanied with a speech from a Hospice Ambassador, Richard Green. The event raised over a fabulous £1,660 with guests winning a selection of great prizes including a LCD flat screen TV, Birmingham Airport VIP tickets and a meal for 2 at Carters Restaurant.
A big thanks to all at Moseley BNI for their efforts so far and thank you to Peter Berry and Jennie Sutcliffe for their work on the golf day. So far, the group have raised over £2,218.00.
