Every year, hospices across the country join together for Hospice Care Week to raise awareness of the vital care and support we provide to people and their families.
From 8th to 14th October, we are embracing this year’s theme of ‘Heart my hospice’, where we asked staff and volunteers what they love most about Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice and this is what they said…
“I love my hospice because of all the care and support provided to patients and families in a time of need and also because they gave my Dad the best care in his final moments x”
“Every second and every memory counts with your family and loved ones. The hospice cares about these memories and makes them the heart of their care.”
“I like that I am directly supporting a good cause in my local community. It feels good to know that I am contributing towards a charity that has cared for people that I know.”
