Community Volunteer

Role: Community Volunteer
Hours: Flexible

For over 150 years, Birmingham Hospice has been providing specialist care for people living with a terminal diagnosis, and their families.

We believe people from all communities should have access to the compassionate care and expert support they need; when, where and how they choose.

Join Team VIVs

Join Team VIVs (Very Important Volunteers), a community of volunteers who are ready and able to support our varied range of fundraising activities across Birmingham and the West Midlands.

You choose how and when you volunteer: supporting Birmingham Hospice locally by spreading the word through campaigning, distributing our literature, being a social influencer helping us reach a new audience,

stewarding, marshalling, cheering supporters on, collecting donations via collection tins, buckets or contactless devices, or providing practical support in other ways at our events.

Whether you can spare one hour a week or one hour a month, we want to hear from you:

What can Birmingham Hospice offer me as a volunteer?

  • You will make friends
  • Develop new skills
  • Expand your knowledge of your community and the fundraising sector
  • Make a significant contribution to improving our patients’ care and experience.

Full training and support from other members of Team VIVs and the Fundraising Team within the will also be provided.

What we need from you:

  • Friendly and positive
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Trustworthy and responsible
  • The desire to give back to your community

We’d love to hear from you, start making a difference today and get in touch:
