Walk 2.5km or 10km in memory of your loved one:
Taking place on Saturday 15 June, the Memory Walk is a special way for you to come together with your family and friends to celebrate and remember someone special.
This year’s walk will once again start and finish at the stunning Birmingham’s Botanical Gardens. Doors will open at 4pm, and at 5pm we’ll join together for a moment of reflection before you warm-up and set-off on your walk. You can choose the family-friendly 2.5km or 10km route.
By signing up to our Memory Walk, you’ll be joining hundreds of incredible supporters who come together and raise vital funds so more people have the chance to be with their loved ones in their last moments.
Who will you walk for?
Dedicate a heart:
You’ll also be invited to dedicate a heart in memory of who you’re walking for to be displayed on our memory wall at the Botanical Gardens for the evening. For an additional donation, you can also receive a keepsake heart to collect and take home on the day, as a reminder of a special evening.

Event FAQs
Our Memory Walk is an event for everyone, and we welcome people of all ages and abilities.
You can choose to walk our 2.5k family friendly route or 10km route, both of which are pushchair and wheelchair friendly. Under 16’s can take part for FREE (without receiving a medal), and must be accomanpied by an adult at all times.
If you need assistance you’re free to bring a carer or aide with you free of charge. Please just inform the Events Team at the registration tent on the day.
Only assistance dogs are allowed into the Botanical Gardens.
After you’ve registered for the Birmingham Hospice Memory Walk, you’ll recieve a confirmation email.
We’ll email you your fundraising pack which will include everything you need to know about the event, ideas and inspiration for fundraising, and information about the difference you’ll make. Please do share with those you sign up with, and if you’d like a copy in the post then please get in touch by emailing events@birminghamhospice.og.uk
Your fundraising pack also includes your walker sign for you to print off and wear on the day.
There is no minimum sponsorship for this event but we do ask you raise as much as they can. No donation is too big or small, and every penny makes a difference.
We need over 30 volunteers to help run this event. If you’d like to kindly donate your time, please email our Events Team at events@birminghamhospice.org.uk. Or call 0121 465 2009 between 9am-5pm, Monday – Friday.
Entry and parking at the Botanical Gardens is free for anyone who’s signed up to the Birmingham Hospice Memory Walk. Your family and friends are welcome to join you in the Botanical Gardens for free also, even if they’re not taking part.
