My name is Mo and I work in the CHATS team. I have always been passionate about supporting and empowering families; particularly working with children and young people. I have professional experience in childcare, education and safeguarding and have trained in many therapeutic approaches such as CBT, Trauma Informed Practice and Solution Focused Counselling.
I use all of my knowledge and skills to connect with children on their level, exploring how they can best express their emotions and safely explore their thoughts and behaviours.
I also enjoy empowering other professionals by delivering education and training on how they can give the best holistic care and support within their own organisations, further strengthening our communities.
In addition to my work within the CHATS team, I am also coordinating the Spiritual Care Service. I support a team of Wellbeing Companions who kindly spend their time with patients and families to talk and reflect in a safe space. Human connection is a beautiful thing and my aim is for this valuable empathic approach to underpin all of our hospice care services.
