Julie’s career includes ten years’ experience of working in the banking sector, where she worked in Forex dealing, became an FSA advisor and headed up an internal account operations department.
She also expanded into setting up her own successful business selling antiques and specialising in antique jewellery, as well as taking over Stephen Duffill Couture Design, which designed and made wedding dresses.
After retiring from retail, Julie has been a Director on the Edgbaston Golf Club Board and a Trustee of Friends of St Augustines.
Julie has been a supporter of the hospice since 2004, where she became a member of the Edgbaston Ladies Event Fundraising Committee and continues to organise an annual Ladies Christmas Lunch. In 2012, she joined our Hospice Trading Company Board and in 2018, she became the Director of TLC Lotteries, representing Birmingham Hospice.
