Sahil is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist leading the Cancer Psychology Service at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB). He is also Acting Lead for Clinical Health Psychology at the Trust. He has 16 year of experience working in the NHS, having spent most of his career working in cancer and palliative care psychological support services.
He sits on the Faculty of Oncology and Palliative Care Committee under the British Psychological Society, and prior to joining UHB, Sahil worked across and led services in a number of large acute NHS Trusts in London. He is a a fervent champion of addressing health inequalities in relation across the care pathway, particularly regarding more holistic aspects of clinical care. He is also co-chair of a national Psycho-oncology Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Community of Practice.
