I work at Birmingham Hospice as a Bereavement Counsellor. I previously worked in a school environment for 18 years, supporting children in their learning. I provided emotional and nurturing support for pupils to help towards their overall wellbeing to ensure they could reach their full potential.
I had a change in direction in 2019 and trained as an Integrative Counsellor and a Children and Young People’s Counsellor. Since qualifying I have worked with adults in many areas of mental health, bereavement, grief, loss and wellbeing. I have worked in schools supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people.
I am so proud and feel lucky to be working within a caring and supportive team, I look forward to coming to work. I am passionate about supporting and empowering people and aim to offer a confidential, warm and compassionate therapeutic space. It is a privilege to be alongside patients, carers, family and friends where they can share their feelings and feel supported in navigating through an emotionally sad time in their lives.
