Free online webinar for healthcare professionals
Medicine Management at End of Life
This forms part of a series of interactive webinars, commissioned by Birmingham and Solihull ICB and provided by Birmingham Hospice in collaboration with Marie Curie and St Giles Hospice. Sessions are delivered by local palliative care experts.
Each live webinar is free to join and will enable you to share and learn from your own and other healthcare professionals’ experiences. The sessions will equip you with the tools and resources you need to confidently manage challenging situations that may arise when caring for patients with palliative care needs and their families.
You can expect to learn:
- Use of the MASC form and the importance of person-centred care and anticipatory planning
- Identify the common symptoms in patients at end of life, how they are managed
- Guidelines for requesting/prescribing anticipatory medications.
As part of our commitment to the NHS England comprehensive model of personalised care, these sessions will highlight the importance of shared decision-making and personalised care and support planning when working with patients and families.
