When we are back up and running, our one-day Summer School is free to attend and is aimed at 16-18 year olds who are keen to learn more about what it is like to work in a hospice/healthcare professional setting.
During the day you will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions with:
- Doctors
- Nurses
- Physiotherapists
- Occupational therapists
- Social workers
Learning activities will include:
- An introduction to hospice life
- Hospice tour
- Hospice myth busting
- A day in the life of a healthcare professional
- A patient and carer’s story
All learning will be delivered in a creative and professional environment by trained and experienced facilitators.
