Senior Individual Giving & Legacy Manager

Hours of Work: 37.5 per week

Hospice Pay Band 7:  £32,172 - £42,414 

Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice is seeking a Senior Individual Giving & Legacy Manager to lead the organisation’s individual giving and legacy team, successfully delivering and overseeing annual income, expenditure, supporter engagement, new acquisition and in-memory fundraising campaigns.

This role will lead a dynamic and tenacious fundraising team of 3 and deputise for the Head of Fundraising when required. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • The development and implementation of the Individual Giving and Legacy strategy.
  • Researching and developing new income generation opportunities, leading on the development of key fundraising campaigns.
  • Developing and implementing processes for creating and growing our Legacy pipeline with a view to maximising income for the Hospice.
  • Leading on the acquisition of new donors for database growth.
  • Leading on the segmentation and targeting of donor data in order to maximise participation in all in-memory, individual giving and legacy fundraising campaigns.
  • Leading on the development, implementation and monitoring of a gold standard supporter journey.
  • Leading on the development of two flagship in-memory campaigns per year ensuring projects are delivered in a timely and cohesive manner and in line with income and expenditure targets.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant fundraising experience, including experience of individual giving and/or legacy fundraising.
  • Considerable line management experience including setting and monitoring objectives, KPS’s and conducting 1 to 1’s and appraisals.
  • Significant experience of data segmentation and analysis.
  • Significant experience in running direct marketing campaigns.
  • Significant experience of donor stewardship.
  • Will be passionate about fundraising, results driven with an eye for innovation and creativity.
