Our Professional Days will give you direct exposure to our hospice services and allow you to spend quality time with our specialised members of staff; actively improving your confidence, knowledge and skills around end of life and palliative care.
A typical professional day…*
9.00am: Arrival/sign in
9.00am – 9.15am: Introductions and setting individual objectives for the visit
9.15am – 10.15am: Hospice tour
10.15am – 10.30am: Light refreshments and networking
10.30am – 11.30am: Meet the team
- Clinical nurse specialist – Community team
- Inpatient nursing team
- Palliative care doctor
- Physiotherapist
- Occupational therapist
- Social worker
11.30am – 12.30pm: ‘Ask it Basket’, ‘Questions and Answers’ session with the team, time to reflect on objectives
12.30pm: End of session
