Sharon’s career in marketing and communications has spanned the commercial, public and third sectors. This included 10 years in the privatised utility sector responsible for both consumer and business to business marketing. She has worked as a consultant with SMEs and the Environment Agency and headed up the marketing and communications team at St Peter’s Hospice in Bristol. Most recently she has taken roles in education and is now executive director of marketing and recruitment with responsibility for strategy and planning at Birmingham Metropolitan College. The College has over 25,000 students with 4 colleges based in Birmingham and the Black Country.
Sharon joined the Board of Trustees in July 2017 and was appointed Chair of the Communications, Fundraising and Marketing Steering Group in 2018.
