Online Sales Volunteer                                    

Reports To: Online Trading Manager       

Location: Online trading department – Cotteridge Furniture Shop

Hours:  Flexible 

Making a Difference

The online sales volunteer will support the online sales manager with general administrative duties including packaging of goods and stock management. Dependent on experience there is also an opportunity for item photography and IT work such as listing on numerous online platforms along with data input. This is an excellent opportunity to use and develop your IT and organization skills to support the online sales department in its aim to raise funds for the Hospice.

Key Duties

 The role of online sales volunteer is varied and there are opportunities to get involved at different levels depending on experience.

  1. Packaging sold items in a secure manner to reduce risk of breakage during transit.
  2. Organisation of incoming and outgoing stock, following the online sales department stock guidelines,
  3. Photographing goods ready for listing online.
  4. Listing goods on various online sales platforms such as eBay and Amazon.
  5. Recording sales data in excel form.

Will the role suit me?

YES, if you…

  • Are interested or experienced in selling second hand goods online.
  • Are organised and efficient with the ability to follow strict stock management guidelines.
  • Are able to perform basic manual handling tasks such as competent and secure packaging of goods.
  • Have an eye for detail and a delicate touch or experience in photography.
  • Have a reasonable level of IT literacy skills including word and excel.
