Maintenance Assistant

27 hours per week: Monday – Friday (4 days 0800 – 1300, 1 day 0800 – 1500) flexibility required

Hospice Band 3:

£17460 – £19913 per annum Pro rata (depending on skills and experience)

Equivalent to £8.92 - £10.18 hourly rate

An exciting permanent position has arisen within the Facilities Department for an experienced maintenance assistant to support the day to day operations of the maintenance team.

Reporting to the Maintenance Technician, your role as the Maintenance Assistant is to support with the maintenance and upkeep of the Hospice premises and assets, to undertake minor building maintenance works, redecoration and engineering repairs, including minor new works, with the use of powered machinery and hand tools, including their maintenance.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have substantial experience within the building maintenance sector -  including plumbing and / or  electrical services.
