Leaving a gift to Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice is one of the most valuable and lasting ways you can support us.

Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice relies heavily on voluntary donations and without the kindness of our supporters we simply couldn’t continue doing what we do best; caring for local people and their families living with terminal illness. Your gift will help future patients and families at a time when they need us most.

After you have taken care of friends and family in your will, please consider leaving a gift to Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice.

There are different types of legacy that should be considered once you have decided to include the Hospice in your will:

A gift of Money: this is also known as a pecuniary gift and would be a gift of a fixed amount, e.g. ‘I wish to leave £1,000 to Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice.’

A specific gift or item: this would be a gift specified in your will such as an antique or a piece of jewellery.

A share of your estate: this is also known as a residual gift and would be a share of your estate, e.g. ‘I wish to leave 50% of the remainder of my estate to Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice’.
