HOSPICE BAND 5 - £21,818 - £28, 368 per annum pro rata depending on experience

Are you a compassionate and experienced nurse with community experience who would like to work as part of a team which prides itself on outstanding quality care?

An opportunity has arisen at Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to work within our expanding Community Services Team in our Hospice at Home Service.

If you have experience within palliative, end of life and community nursing and are passionate about excellent nursing care then this role could be for you.

The band 5 will be responsible for ongoing holistic assessment and planning of individualised care to meet the person and carers physical, psychological, spiritual, social and practical needs at the end of their lives.

The Hospice at Home team provides nursing care to patients at home at the end of life. The service operates 7 days a week, and the Band 5 will work closely with District Nurses, GP’s and palliative care clinical nurse specialist to provide holistic care and support the carers of people who choose to die in their own home.

There will be some flexibility with the opportunity to work also in our inpatient unit and day hospice services. Excellent communication skills are essential.

All candidates must have a full clean driving license and have access to a car.
