Introduction to loss and grief
As part of Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s palliative care education programme we are now able to offer a range of bite-sized interactive sessions for registered nurses, advanced health practitioners and Health Care Assistants who wish to update or refresh their knowledge in any of the following areas:
- Advance care planning
- Assessment and care planning
- Care in the dying phase
- Syringe driver management
- Sage and ThymeTM training (foundation level workshop learning how to use evidence-based skills when listening and responding)*
- Symptom management
- Spiritual care*
- Palliative care emergencies
- Introduction to loss and grief*
- Wellbeing/Caring for each other*
*denotes sessions which are relevant to HCAs
