HOSPICE BAND 6 £26,244 - £35,225 pro rata

Birmingham St Marys Hospice Hospice at Home service provides personal, social and emotional support to patients and their families at home with life limiting illnesses. The aim of the service is to provide care at a time of identified need, and to help avoid unnecessary and unwanted admission to hospital in the last weeks and days of life. The team are a part of an integrated community team and there will be opportunities to work across all community services

We are seeking to recruit an emotionally intelligent and motivated nurse who will assist in delivering the key aims of the service and have previous experience of providing excellent end of life care.

The post holder will have a key role in providing support for patients with end of life care needs, assisting in the delivery of care, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care needs of patients and carers.

The post holder will also take responsibility for the management of the caseload and will co-ordinate the [email protected] team and deploy and supervise staff where appropriate.

Successful candidates will be a Level 1 Registered Nurse with current NMC registration, have a Healthcare related degree or working towards, previous palliative care/end of life care experience at Band 5. Experience of working in a community setting is desirable (for full details see job description)
