Circa £47,000 per annum

Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice has implemented a programme of transformation, engaging a wide range of stakeholders, to meet growing demand for hospice care in a challenging local and global economy.

Outstanding hospice care is dependent upon operational excellence of high quality business processes that are: understood and delivered by everyone; aligned to the strategic direction of the organisation; informed by a consistent understanding of how the internal and external environment impacts upon the decisions we make; and puts individuals, families and loved ones at the centre of all we do.

We seek a high calibre, progressive individual to work with Trustees, Chief Executive, Executive Team and colleagues to develop transformative, high quality business processes that will underpin and support the achievement of:

  • Outstanding Hospice care to individuals, families, carers and loved ones
  • Recognition of the Hospice as a system leader for end of life and palliative care
  • An effective programme management framework delivering: service redesign; market position; being lean and agile
  • Strategic "Hospice Care For All" priorities (Our Hospice Strategy 2016 - 2020)
  • A new strategy to transform and achieve sustainable Hospice Care for All beyond 2020
  • Effective transformation leadership and stakeholder engagement

As a key expert in transformational leadership, programme management, governance, assurance, business sustainability and improvement methodologies you will be a key leader, facilitator, adviser and co-ordinator of the Hospice's corporate transformation and performance processes. In turn, you will have the opportunity to be part of a team of system leaders to influence end of life and palliative care across the operating environment of health and social care.
