We have limited free charity places in the half marathon!

Run to make every moment matter and join our running team to support local people living with a terminal diagnosis, and their families.

If you would like to represent Birmingham Hospice in Brum’s most famous run, let us know by entering your details now, and we will be in touch to confirm whether you have been successful in obtaining one!

Runners will receive:

A branded running vest
A fundraising guide, information pack and sponsorship form
Dedicated fundraising support from our Challenge Events Officer
An invitation to our pre-run meetup before race day, organised by Challenge Events Officer
Cheer point en route, where you can grab a water or just run by and wave

Have you got your own place?

Alternatively, are you planning to get a place through the organisers in either the half marathon, 10k or for your child in the Junior & Mini Great Birmingham Run? If so, you can still choose to run for Birmingham Hospice and raise vital funds for hospice care with #TeamBrumsHospice.

What is a charity place runner?

Charity place runners are people who sign up to run for Birmingham Hospice in the Great Birmingham Run and pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship target of £250 in return for their free charity place.

If you have any questions, you are unsure about something or need more information regarding this, please contact our Challenge Events Officer directly.

What do I receive when I cross the finish line?

When you finish your race, you will receive a finisher’s pack. Packs are sorted by size, so please take the t-shirt size you requested on your entry form originally. Your medal will also be inside your finisher’s pack.

How do I secure a charity place?

To secure a charity place with Birmingham Hospice, you need to pledge to raise a minimum of £250 when signing up. By doing so, you will make such an incredible difference. Now, more than ever, our expert and compassionate care is needed to ensure people die comfortably, in a place of their choice, and with dignity.
