Living Well Centre Activity Volunteer – Erdington

Role: Living Well Centre Activity Volunteer
Reports To: Living Well Centre Lead and Volunteer Coordinator
Location: Living Well Centre, Integrated Community Team
Hours: Flexible,
Virtual activities: 1-2 hours per week, including planning time for virtual services,
At the hospice: 2-3 hours, 1 – 2 x per week, excluding travel time

Key Duties

You will…

  • Participate in handover prior to start of Living Well Centre services
  • Plan therapeutic interventions, according to your specific skill set and experience
  • Lead therapeutic sessions of approximately 20 – 50 minutes virtually, 2 – 3 hours once or twice a week face to face
  • Liaise with the Living Well Centre Team after each session, ensuring issues or concerns are communicated
  • Empower patients to engage in social and therapeutic activities in a group setting to improve quality of live and achievement of their goals
