Hello my name is Eileen Sullivan I am on the dark side of 50 (actual age 58) so you know what I mean. I don’t think you need to know much more about me other than I am more than a little mad and always have lots to say, even when I’m asleep (so my partner tells me) and that I want to do something in memory of a brave lady called Desney Connell

A friend of mine and a former parent of St Martin de Porres Primary School Desney Connell RIP lost her battle against that evil thing called cancer recently. She was a gentle, loving lady and spent her final days together with her family at St Mary’s Hospice in Birmingham. I had heard about St Mary’s hospice but didn’t give it much thought until I went to see Desney there. I was dreading going as I believed it was a place you went to die, but no it’s much more than that. I know how much they helped Desney and her family and I want to give something back to St Mary’s in memory of my friend.
I am going to do a tandem parachute jump to raise money for St Mary’s and of I need you to donate as much money as possible. I know there are lots of you who would love to push me out of an aeroplane not all for the right reasons! I scared, wetting myself and its way out of my comfort zone; on the positive side I am doing it because I will have a hunky man on my back and I get to ‘dress up’ which I love to do and hopefully raise lots of money for St Mary’s.

When I get up in the morning and think I don’t want to go to work, I don’t want to do housework; I don’t want iron or do the washing and I STOP! wouldn’t Desney love to be doing these mundane, boring things, yes she would so let’s celebrate our lives and all the mundane things we can still do.

Help me to help St Mary’s, thank you for your support.
