Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week

Hospice Pay Band 8b: £47,799 - £59,090 per annum

Do you have excellent communication skills along with dynamic, visible and credible leadership skills to enable nursing to deliver safe and high standards of quality care? If so, Birmingham St Marys Hospice has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and innovative nurse leader to apply for the post of Deputy Nursing Director.

Working together with the Hospice’s Nursing Director, this role provides professional leadership to maintain high quality care, provide robust quality assurance monitoring and enhances innovation in practice. The Deputy Nursing Director will ensure a robust professional approach to service development and improvement by taking a lead role in liaising with commissioners to influence improvements in palliative and end of life care across our locality. The role provides formal leadership and support for clinical service projects towards the strategic direction of local palliative and end of life care to meet our changing population needs.

Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice offers a range of services; most of our care is provided in people’s homes or community locations close by, in addition to progressive in patient and day services at the Hospice.
